After applying through a rigorous application, I was part of the Barnes & Noble Bestseller Management Program:
- Hands-on experience in all facets of merchandising, finance, human resources, marketing, customer service, and management in a strong collegiate retail organization.
- Moved through all departments, exposing you to the various aspects of the bookselling business – from the nitty-gritty of inventory to the finer points of campus outreach.
- Worked directly with bookstore managers to learn best management practices, how to delegate and lead responsibly.
- The program offered a practical introduction to business philosophy and retail principles -- the business thinking that informs the day-to-day operations of a Barnes & Noble College store.
